What weight of cardstock do you all recommend for
    Base card
    Stamped layer
    Die cuts

Also, is there a “right side” for stamping the cardstock? I’m getting REALLY involved with cardmaking again after many years of neglect. I’ve found I have some cardstock that seems to have one side smoother than the other: is this because of different qualities of cardstock, or am I just weird?

    Thank you!

Some card-stocks do have a smooth side & rough side. Smooth side is for stamping & coloring with markers or colored pencils. The other side you can stamp & use paints to color. Not knowing the brand can’t say if this is totally accurate for what you have.
As for weights you want your card base to be the heavier/thicker card-stock. The card panel/stamped card-stock 80-110LB is what I see most using. Die cuts the same. Hope this helps.
