Shading with Stencils and Life Changing Brushes

17

Hello!

So glad you stopped by today! Today, I have the honor of being featured on the Simon Says Stamp Blog and YouTube Channel.

For my projects, I chose to use the Floral Stencil by Gina K. Designs along with a newer set of tools called “Life Changing Brushes” by a wonderful company called Picket Fence Studios. I met the owner, Nicole, at a Scrapbook Expo show and I saw the brushes and had to buy them. And I am SO happy that Simon Says Stamp carries them because you can get the whole bundle of products used today over in their store here at Simon Says Stamp.

Here is a photo of the card I made in the video:

I used these products:

Gina K. Designs Floral Stencil

Inks Cubes: Ocean Mist, Tranquil Teal, Jelly Bean Green, and Fresh Asparagus

Ink Pad: Black Onyx

Dies: ThermOWeb and Gina K. Designs Small and Large Squares

Life Changing Brushes by Picket Fence Studio

ThermOWeb and Gina K. Designs Dot Runner Adhesive

ThermOWeb and Gina K. Designs White Foam Squares

Card Stock: Ocean Mist, Black Onyx, White Layering Weight

ThermOWeb and Gina K. Designs Fancy Ribbon- White and Gold

Here is another photo of a few options. For the pink card, my color combo was Dusty Rose and Faded Brick.

If you’d like to see how easy it is to shade with these brushes and how I made a quick little mask so I didn’t get ink in places I didn’t want it, head over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog. They are giving away some blog candy too! So make sure you leave a comment and tell them Gina sent you! XO

Have a wonderful day and Happy Stamping!

Hugs,

Gina K.

Just LOVE your cards. I have a quick question—when will you be doing videos from your new studio?

    Thank you!!!

What am I doing wrong? I can’t seem to find any new videos since you opened the award box. I see the blog, but no tutorial video. Where do I go to get new videos?

Can you please supply the name of the incentive set shown in the current newsletter? Also, may I ask the source of those blending tools? Thank you. This info may be in the videos but I am not a fan of videos and never watch them, preferring text and photos.

You seem to always have the right tip in just the right moment. Here is my take on using the masking paper:

Thanks so much Gina, I am going to use your tips and tricks as a springboard to my own personal challenges. I so miss the weekly challenges at StampTV, so this seems like a fun way to keep me inky.

Cannot wait to see you use the new brushes with a stencil. The book stamp has been something I have looked for for months. I can’t wait till payday so I can get the new brushes and the book stamp.
